Born, raised, and residing in Fauquier County, Virginia; Josh Warren lives just outside the small town of Warrenton with his wife and two young children. Having come from a life full of the arts, Josh decided in 2013 to pursue a degree where his passions lay; art and design. Josh founded Black Walnut Design Co. in 2015 to help support small businesses and his local community by providing affordable and locally-minded design solutions. While working full time and raising his young family, Josh earned his BA in Graphic Design and Media Arts from Southern New Hampshire University in 2017.
Through his freelance work, Josh has been able to give back to his community that has supported his family since the 19th century in his own, small way. Josh gained invaluable corporate and technical design experience working as a full-time graphic designer at a large consulting firm supporting a high profile strategic communications contract. Josh specializes in logo work, typography, branding, and print design. His interests include art history, music, science fiction (especially Star Wars), photography, film, and tinkering around the house.
